Create a download file for part of the ITIS database based upon specifications you define. Select from the options below to indicate the Kingdom, database tables and the format for your download file. Click on the Continue button to move to the second screen. Additional selections on the second screen will allow you to further customize the resultant file if you choose. After the Submit button on the second screen is clicked, the download file will be generated. The database table(s) will be compressed in .gz (gzip) format. A .gz file can be opened by WinZip and some other utilities. Please note: ITIS data continues to be improved. You may wish to check this website to see if your data remains current.
This procedure is designed to download a subset of the ITIS database based upon your specifications. The entire database is also available via FTP.
